Description
The cerata ara arranged in groups on either side of the body. The oral tentacles
are as long as the rhinophores. The rhinophores are not annulated. Often mixed up
with F. ischitana, there where both species occur, but the lather one has annulated
rhinophores. It feeds on several hydroid species.
Size
Up to 20 mm long.
Colour
Transparent pink to purple body, the cerata are orange to violet with white tips.
The rhinophores and oral tentacles also have white tips.
Habitat
In the sub littoral zone.
Distribution
East Atlantic from Norway till the Mediterranean.
