Description
This herbivore is rarely seen in the Netherlands and preferably feeds on green algae like Codium tomentosa and Bryopsis plumosa.

Size
According to Thompson this animal only grows to a length of 11 mm, but the specimen in the picture was approximately 30 mm long!

Colour
The body is translucent white and the digestive organ that is visible through the transparent skin, gives it a greenish or brownish colour.

Habitat
Because this animal feeds on green algae, it lives in shallow coastal waters, where its food grows.

Distribution
Probably global distribution.
