Description
This nudibranch has branched rhinophores and gills. These branched rhinophores and gills give a prefect camouflage during feeding. Juvenile animals feed on Obelia, halecium and Sertularia, where adults feed on Tubularia.

Maximum length 100 mm.

Colour
The body and gills can be very variable in colour. These can vary from translucent over white to reddish brown.

Habitat
From the sub littoral up to 100 m.

Distribution
Till now not seen in the Grevelingen. Can not be seen in the Oosterschelde every year, but when he appears it is often in great numbers.
