Prominent 'wings' usually folded together above the body. It breaths through the skin of these wings and when it needs more oxygen, it unfold them. The wings also contain their digestive glands. The rhinophores tube-shape folded.

Maximum length ± 70 mm.
Colour
Usually green with bright blue patches, but can also be red or yellow. This depends on the algae they eat.
Habitat
Feeds on algae and can be found as deep as the algae grow.
Distribution
Can be found in the Grevelingen as well as in the Oosterschelde. In 2002 they occurred in vast numbers. In the years before there were hardly any sightings.
